Data Analyst

Do you love Data? Qualifications? Qlik Sense experience (or other BI tool), both as a user and configuration. Excel power-user. Coding background. Data analysis experience. Knowledge of loan terms and mortgage terms.

Location? This full-time position can be remote “work from home” anywhere in the U.S. (eastern or central time zones preferred), or based in Garnet’s Harrison NY office.

Timing? Immediate. This position will be filled as soon as the right candidate is identified.

Compensation and Benefits? Salary is dependent on experience. Comprehensive benefits package including insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, disability), bonus eligibility, 401K (with up to $5,000 match), and PTO (starting at 18 days).

Responsibilities: Data Mining, Analytics, and Reporting

  • Prepare data: intake, map, and load client data
  • Review data: find inconsistencies, errors and missing critical information
  • Analyze data: identifying, stratifying, and highlighting value points
  • Reporting: prepare concise and presentation‐ready reports

Required Skills:

  • Strong data handling and analytic skills
  • Ability to self‐review work product
  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a busy, fast paced environment

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Economics)
  • Experience: 1+ years of working with data in a quantitative analytic role
  • Proficiencies: The following are listed in order of importance, however a candidate that does not have Qlik experience but who has robust coding experience and Excel experience would be strongly considered, as these skills would enable the candidate to learn Qlik quickly.
    • Qlik Sense: strong working knowledge minimum, deeper understanding and ability to configure/code preferred; other BI software helpful.
    • Excel: Power‐user
    • Coding: SQL required, other examples Linux or Unix scripting, C, Perl, Python
    • Experience with loans and mortgages (banking industry, fintech, financial services, mortgage lenders, etc.) preferred but not required
  • Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States
